نددت المفوضة السامية لحقوق الإنسان في الأمم المتحدة ب”العنصرية البنيوية” و”الإعتداء غير المسبوق” على صحافيين في الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، التي يستمر فيها حراك إحتجاجي واسع النطاق رفضاً للعنصرية وعنف الشرطة.
وقالت ميشيل باشليه في بيان : “إن الأصوات التي تطالب بإنهاء الجرائم بحق الأميركيين العزل من أصل أفريقي يجب أن يتم الإصغاء اليها، وإن الأصوات التي تطالب بإنهاء عنف الشرطة يجب أن يتم الإصغاء اليها، والأصوات التي تطالب بإنهاء العنصرية المزمنة والبنيوية التي تسود المجتمع الأميركي ينبغي الإصغاء اليها”.
